Simran Dhond
Simran Dhond is a multidisciplinary fashion designer and the creative force behind Simmydoo — a handcrafted lingerie, sleepwear, and swimwear brand born in Goa and rooted in Indian artistry.
A Gold Medalist in Knitwear Design from NIFT Bengaluru and a graduate with an MA in Fashion & Textiles (Contour Specialisation) from De Montfort University, UK, Simran brings together global expertise and deep Indian sensibilities. Her design journey is a tapestry woven with technical precision, sensual aesthetics, and soulful storytelling.
Her signature style first caught the eye with her award-winning collection, Kaafi Amorous, showcased at India Intimatewear Fashion Week and Leicester Fashion Week. From interning in kidswear at Arvind Ltd., to honing lingerie fit at London Contour Experts, and virtually fitting bras with Nudea, UK, Simran has experienced the intimatewear industry from every angle. She went on to design lingerie, shapewear, athleisure, and leisurewear at Nykd by Nykaa, shaping categories for the modern Indian woman.
Today, Simran leads Design & Brand Development at Carbon Tree, a conscious activewear label, while pouring her heart into building Simmydoo — her vision for a slow, sensual brand that celebrates organic fabrics, Indian embroidery traditions like Chikankari and Kasuti, and the empowerment of women artisans.
Beyond design, Simran is an active member of the community as a proud Rotarian, committed to giving back and uplifting women through craft and opportunity.
