Why Craftsmanship Matters to Us
My love for lingerie began in childhood, through my mother’s beautifully curated, global lingerie finds and her vintage pieces that felt like secret treasures. That curiosity grew into craft education at NIFT, Bunka Gakuen in Tokyo, a Master’s in the UK and hands-on experience with London’s contour specialists and Indian fit experts.
But it was through meeting India’s artisans that I truly understood the power of craftsmanship. Their skills, passed down through generations, breathe life into every piece we create.

Chikankari "Hand-embroidered in Goa"
Our Chikankari is crafted lovingly by a small group of Goan women who have mastered the art through years of patience and practice.
Their hands bring softness and poetry to fabric using traditional stitches like phanda, shadow work, jaali and murri, adapted delicately for lingerie and sleepwear.

Kasuti - "Handcrafted with Women Artisans in Hubli"
Kasuti is geometry, precision and heritage woven together with needle and thread. We work with a dedicated women’s cluster in Hubli, where artisans hand-stitch traditional motifs with extraordinary accuracy. Each Kasuti motif is counted, not traced, a skill passed down through generations.
In Simmydoo pieces, Kasuti becomes:
